ALL (8-10)AMD/RYZEN machines it acted like shit.ALL intel it ran perfect!and i uninstalled Intel's drivers before and used the MS standard in those also.i couldnt compare any other nvme's as the office PCs all have m.2 sata's. after installing the latest(from 2017) from "OpenFabrics Alliance (OFA)" my speeds went back to normal,even better than normal!2000ish/900ish.i tried putting the MS standard driver back,speed dropped.found my cause.the problem is MS doesnt date the driver updates(they do update those drivers that still say 2006).so i cant tell exactly what happened anyway,known good vs known bad versions.Īnyway i work in IT, i did a few quick tests around the office with my nvme,put it into 10+machines just long enough to run crystaldiskmark. In search of a solution i came across a forum HERE that has a massive list of drivers and also modded drivers.I decided to give some a try. I haven't done a fresh install or updated any drivers that should affect it.I changed bios settings and anything i could possibly find that might affect it,drivers reinstalled.I found old benchmark scores in samsung magician from 3-4months ago,all was perfect then.1800/800ish.i ran out of ideas so to discount hardware failure i restored a image of my system from 6 months ago and magically back to normal pared driver versions,bios settings,uld not find the cause. I ended up finding that my NVME was running like shit.800-900read/nsistently. Noticed my system running sluggish recently so i attempted to investigate,lead me down a rabbit hole.
